Urban Priority is a group of independent community advocates, voluntarily working to host a series of conversations with major mayoral candidates in the 2014 municipal election. Our core constituency is the thousands of dedicated community/social service workers and volunteers in the city who work hard to improve the lives of residents in Toronto.

We want our constituents to hear directly from the mayoral candidates about their platform and plans for the City if elected. All issues are open to discussion/presentation by the candidates; however, a special emphasis will be made on our part to discuss the issues around economic development, jobs, small business success, community programs, affordable housing, and community safety/policing and transportation. Our aim is to learn about the mayoral candidates and their platforms and to share this information with as many co-workers, community members, friends and family members as we can. Our hope is that the candidates learn from participants as much as participants learn from candidates, and this series of meetings help candidates broaden their knowledge base and strengthen the platforms as we move forward to an exciting election day!
